Welcome to Herts and Essex Climbing Club...

The Herts and Essex Climbing Club is a friendly and relaxed club with members of all ages over 18! We are a smallish club with about 40 members, making getting to know everyone a bit easier!

So, if your new to climbing, new to the area or looking for new climbing partners, then why not join us?!!! Whatever your level of experience, from having never climbed before, to climbing for a decade, you will be made to feel more then welcome!

We meet every Tuesday at Harlow Climbing Wall between 7pm and 10pm for a climb and a bit of banter!

News Flash!!

Summer Bar-B-Q

Herts and Essex Climbing Club This is an invite to all members and non members, friends and family to come to our first summer BBQ. We are planning to meet on Saturday 31st of July at the Harlow Climbing Wall from 6pm. We're charging £5 per person for some yummy food and soft drinks, plus if you want to bring a bottle of something a bit stronger it might help yo...ur confidence when it comes to the slackline and other challenges on the evening!
We would like to get a rough idea of numbers to get the right amount of food so that any extra pennies we get can be used for club funds and not getting too much food - you can't use old sausages as protection, there's nowhere to clip the quickdraw, even if you do get it wedged in the rock. So please email us back as soon as possible if you can make it. The climbing wall will be closed so you keen boulder problem monkeys, this will not be extra time to nail that v6 you have had your eye on !!!
We really hope that you'll come along and even drag some other folks along who we don't usually see at the club. Don't forget to bring your climbing photos to show everyone.

Sorry no camping onsite but I'm sure you river rats can find somewhere to pitch your tent !
